Welcome in! 📚
If you're new here because of the reluctant reader video, the blog, or my email, I'm so glad you came. And if you've been here a while, this one's for you too.
The free Book Match Guide is attached right here in this post, so you'll always know where to find it.

Inside:
☑️ Three questions to ask before you pick the next book
☑️ The Reading Ladder, so a book above their level can still be their book
☑️ A starting list by interest, with the best rung for each one
☑️ The one-page check, and when it's worth looking closer
☑️ A printable Family Learning Board for your fridge
One thing I want every parent to hear: your child doesn't have to read every book alone, even in 4th or 5th grade. Reading together and listening along count. They don't replace your child's own reading practice. They give your child access to the books they're excited about.
Your turn, in the comments:
1. What would your child happily watch for an hour?
2. If you're new, tell us your child's grade and whether you're navigating ADHD, dyslexia, both, or still figuring it out. (Only share what you're comfortable with.)
I'll reply to every comment with a book idea and the rung I'd start on.
Kelly 💜
